The Bristol BreakAway, the inaugural ride in the new Petty Touring Series of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride, was a great success on Sunday. Over 100 motorcycles made the trek from Bristol, TN to Winston-Salem, NC, where they stopped at the Brenner Children’s Hospital. There, Kyle presented the hospital with a check for $10,045. Of course, the 45 is in memory of Adam Petty, Kyle’s son who died in a BGN practice wreck at NHIS. Also, some type of foundation in Adam’s memory is in the planning stages(MotorsportsTV)(8-30-2000)
