Inspections for Winston Cup cars was slow going Friday, as several teams failed to make it through prequalifying inspections on the first try. The teams of Dale Earnhardt, Jeremy Mayfield, Bobby Hamilton, Sterling Marlin, Blaise Alexander and Matt Kenseth had to make many alterations to their cars before they could make it through inspection and onto the track for practice. NASCAR inspectors also collected a group of unapproved fuel-cell containers, from the teams of Kevin Lepage, Michael Waltrip, Mike Skinner and Dale Jarrett(That’s Racin’)(10-14-2000)
