Moore to Be Honored UPDATE is Honored: NASCAR pioneer Bud Moore will be honored with a “roast and toast” program Tuesday(5-22) night at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Moore, 75, is retired from a long career in NASCAR racing. Among those scheduled to attend Tuesday’s event, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., are David Pearson, Buddy Baker, Brett Bodine, Ned Jarrett, Cotton Owens, Louise Smith, Bill France Jr., Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison, Glen Wood and Leonard Wood. Proceeds from the event will go toward a planned South Carolina Racing Museum in Spartanburg. The Bud Moore Tribute was a fund-raiser for a proposed South Carolina racing museum developers hope to build in Spartanburg.
