#44 Qualifying Driver? UPDATE 2: hearing Tom Hubert, who has driven in a few Cup races and is the #93 Bill Davis Racing Car Chief, will qualify the #44 Georgia Pacific Dodge for regular driver Buckshot Jones at Sears Point, but Jones will start and run the car in the race(6-21-2001) UPDATE: yep, Hubert qualified the red #44 Dodge 29th and Jones will drive the car in the race, but will have to fall to the back of the field as required when going to a backup or changing drivers after qualifying(6-23-2001) UPDATE 2: After he finished 16th on the lead lap in the Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring SNAP-ON Tools 200 Saturday at Sears Point, Buckshot Jones pronounced himself ready to run the full Dodge/Save Mart 350 Saturday. Jones entered the race in a FSW teams car to get track time. He started 39th but had raced up to ninth, when he inadvertently unhooked his safety harness and had to pit.(NASCAR.com Buzz)(6-24-2001)
