Cookbook to help out: Members of ThatsRacin.com’s stock car forum have joined forces to compile a unique cookbook of their favorite recipes, from appetizers to tailgatin’ staples and everything in between and lend a hand to some children in need at the same time. The book is hard cover and illustrated with artwork by one of the forum posters and has racing quotes and more. The cost of $18.50 includes shipping and handling. The after-cost proceeds of this book, about $5.00 per book, will be donated to the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Founded by Kyle Petty, CEO of Petty Enterprises, and his wife, Pattie Huffman Petty, the camp will serve as a retreat for seriously ill children and will honor of their son, Adam Petty. Orders must be placed in advance, no later than Aug. 31. A minimum of 200 orders are needed in order to submit the cookbook to the publisher. Once the minimum 200 orders have been received, the order will be sent in and the books published in about two months.
