NASCAR Rock N’ Roll: Hybrid Recordings and Atlantic Records have announced the release of NASCAR: FULL THROTTLE, the first-ever official NASCAR compilation to feature rock artists. The album – released in association with NASCAR, NBC Sports and Turner Broadcasting – collects 13 high-octane tracks from a variety of new and classic rock artists. FULL THROTTLE. features exclusive tracks from Metallica – whose “Fuel For Fire” is an alternate version of “Fuel” (from RELOAD) with different lyrics – and Sammy Hagar, who has updated his classic 1984 hit, “I Can’t Drive 55,” to the more-accelerated “I Can.t Drive 65”. Tracks from .NASCAR: FULL THROTTLE. were heard throughout NBC and TNT coverage of NASCAR races, including audio play during the opens, pre-race, teases, animations, highlights and bumpers. The album also includes songs from matchbox twenty, Sugar Ray, P.O.D., Creed, Collective Soul, the Grateful Dead, Motley Crue, the Cult, Convoy, Vertical Horizon, and Breaking Point.
