Harvick, defending champion of the spring race, will be back to fine-tune his strategy in Atlanta. Harvick performed like a veteran last year in just his third Winston Cup race, outdueling four-time Winston Cup champion Jeff Gordon to the checkered flag by just .006 seconds. It was an emotional win for his Richard Childress Racing team, which had lost their legendary driver, Dale Earnhardt, just three weeks earlier. This week’s test sessions will not be open to the public. ALSO: Atlanta Motor Speedway still has plenty of $25 seats left for the March 10 Atlanta 500 NASCAR Winston Cup weekend. The seats offer fans a great view of the action from the backstretch Weaver Grandstand, where fans are treated to dicey passes and plenty of side-by-side racing excitement. The $25 seats are located in the first six rows, and the rest of the Weaver Grandstand seats are priced $35 and $45. For fans looking for a mid-price ticket, the East Turn Grandstand is the perfect choice for $50 or $65.(AMS PR)(2-19-2002) UPDATE 2: Defending spring race winner, Kevin Harvick, clocked the fastest lap of the day on Tuesday as he and four other drivers prepared for the March 10 Atlanta 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
