Rockingham Stuff: There have been 11 different Bud Pole winners in the 14 NASCAR Winston Cup races at Rockingham since 1995. Mark Martin (fall 1999, fall 1998 and spring 1997) and Jeff Gordon (spring 1995 and spring 2001) are the only repeat Bud Pole winners in the 14-race period. Dale Jarrett has finished 10th or better, including one victory, in 13 of the last 14 races at Rockingham. His career-first Rockingham victory came in the fall race in 2000. Eleven of those 13 finishes were top fives, including six second-place finishes. Rusty Wallace leads all active drivers with five victories at Rockingham, including back-to-back wins in the fall of 1988 and the spring of 1989 and three consecutive races: a sweep in 1993 and the 1994 GM Goodwrench 500. In the 36 years of twice-a-year NASCAR Winston Cup racing at Rockingham, a sweep has occurred eight times: Richard Petty (1971 and 1976), David Pearson (1973), Cale Yarborough (1975 and 1980), Darrell Waltrip (1981), Rusty Wallace (1993) and Jeff Gordon (1998). Bobby Labonte has nine top-10 starts in the last 12 races at Rockingham.
