More on APR/Jones/DW: Darrell Waltrip says he is acting as ”matchmaker” between Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and NASCAR team owner Andy Petree, as the two discuss a possible racing partnership. ”I’d think it’s going to happen,” Waltrip said yesterday. ”I believe Jerry Jones is serious about getting involved in NASCAR. Exactly when and how it will happen, those are some of the details we’re still working on.” Waltrip, a retired three-time champion from Franklin who serves as a Fox Network commentator, expects to be involved in the Jones-Petree team if it is finalized.(Tennessean)(2-26-2002)
