Martinsville Testing concludes Wed: Surrounded by big-budget Winston Cup teams, Brian Rose and his Ware Racing team looked a bit out of place at Martinsville Speedway Wednesday. But the 22-year-old Rose felt right at home, even though he was working onvery short notice. Rose and the #51-Ware Racing team showed up Wednesday morning for the second day of a two-day test session, joining #30-Jeff Green, #55-Bobby Hamilton, #40-Jamey McMurry and #66-Hideo Fukuyama on the half-mile oval. Rose was getting some help from his former truck owner Bobby Hamilton, who was pitting a few stalls away from the Ware team Wednesday. My relationship with Bobby Hamilton has helped a lot. He’ been helping with our shocks and springs today. He’ been a great supporter of my career, said Rose, who is the third or fourth driver to fill the seat of Ware’ racer this season. Some speeds: #51-Brian Rose at 90.257mph, #55-Hamilton at 90.603 and #66-Fukuyama at 88.985.(Martinsville Speedway PR)(10-10-2002)
