DRT Enterprises has recently announced that it will field driver Tim Bainey, Jr. in the BGN Sam’s Town 250 at Memphis on October 19. In an effort to help raise money for cancer research, the album One Less Tear will be promoted on the #15 DRT Enterprises’ Ford for the race. One of the main beneficiaries of One Less Tear is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Memphis, which is also the beneficiary of a percentage of ticket sales for the BGN race at the Memphis Motorsports Park. This will be Bainey’s second attempt in the BGN this season. Bainey attempted the Food City 250 in Bristol, TN, on August 21, but failed to make the field. The 3/4th mile, banked track is well suited to Bainey’s driving style. The Busch Series hopeful spent a year in the USAR Hooters ProCup Series, which boasts many tracks similar to Memphis.(Tim Bainey, Jr Site)(10-15-2002)
