Newman wins 5th race of 2003:

#12-Ryan Newman’s fuel held out and he won the The GFS Marketplace 400 at Michigan International Speedway for his 5th win of 2003 and 6th of his career. #97-Busch was leading with 2 laps to go, but ran out of fuel and ended up 18th. #29-Kevin Harvick finished 2nd. Bad days by #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr.(32nd) and #24-Jeff Gordon (30th) and lost a ton of points to points leader #17-Matt Kenseth, who ran a consistent quiet race and now leads the points by 329. Nice runs by #30-Steve Park [5th – his first top five in 65 races at Dover in June 2001 and first since his wreck at Darlington in Sept 2001], #49-Kenny Schrader [8th] and #10-Johnny Benson held on for a nice 10th. #16-Greg Biffle was the highest finishing rookie of the year candidate with a 4th place finish.
