Speedway officials announced Tuesday that NASCAR’s third-tier racing series will return to the 1.5-mile superspeedway on Sept. 25, 2004. This year’s Las Vegas 350 is set for Saturday, Sept. 27. The 2004 event will mark the eighth visit by the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Local driver Brendan Gaughan, who currently leads the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings, is expected to be among the contenders for the 2004 title.
