Rick Hendrick’s engineering brain trust is working overtime to help the Johnny Benson-Jay Frye-James Rocco team make it to the top 25 in the final standings, because that’s the cutoff mark for NASCAR’s special financial plans, including the TV plan. Hendrick officials held detailed planning sessions with Benson’s crew this weekend.
