Brandweek reports that Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be featured next summer in an ad campaign for Wrangler, one of his late father Dale’s early primary sponsors, today’s Sports Business Daily says. The driver will be featured in the ad campaign launching Wrangler Jeans Co.’s denim-driven line targeting young adults ages 18-32, Brandweek says. “Earnhardt Jr. is our target consumer,” says Craig Errington, Wrangler’s director of advertising, public relations and special events. “He wears jeans every day and will add the energy of NASCAR racing to the brand.” Wrangler’s goal is to sell $150 million of the products in the next three years.( Winston Cup Scene Daily Newsletter )(12-9-2003)
