Five Couples Selected:

Five lucky race fan couples have been selected to travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. to compete in a “Tie the Knot at the Hershey’s Kisses 300” Race-off. The winning couple of the Race-off will “Tie the Knot” prior to the start of the Hershey’s Kisses 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2004, at Daytona International Speedway. Judges selected the Race-off couples based on their specially designed envelopes and essays explaining why they wanted to “Tie the Knot at the Hershey’s Kisses 300” NASCAR Busch Series race in Daytona. The couples: Teri Lewis and Gene Konzen, Indianapolis, Ind. Dawn Kreager and Kelly Bloss, Stewartstown, Pa. Tammy Purkis and Travis Zvolena, Marshfield, Wis. Jefflyn LeFevre and Lesley Westbrook, Gainesville, Texas Marla Hill and James Darin, Morris, Ill. will compete in the Race-off on Wednesday, January 7, 2004. Each finalist couple receives a three-day, two-night trip to Daytona Beach, for the Race-off. The Race-off pits couple against couple in a number of fun and challenging events, including a simulated race game; a newlywed and trivia game, and individual couple interviews with the judges. The winning couple will be announced following judging of the Race-off activities on Wednesday, January 7, 2004. The Grand Prize-winning couple will “Tie the Knot” prior to the Hershey’s Kisses 300 NASCAR Busch Series race at “The World Center of Racing” on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2004. The wedding will take place live before thousands of spectators prior to the start of the race. Hershey Foods’ sponsorship of the Hershey’s Kisses 300 NASCAR Busch Series race at Daytona International Speedway on February 14, 2004 includes a specially painted #21 Hershey’s Kisses Chevrolet fielded by Richard Childress Racing.
