This season, the Craftsman “WIN FROM THE POLE” bonus is back with a whole new look and an added bit of excitement just like the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series which welcomes new manufacturer Toyota and two former champions to the Series in 2004. Sears will award a rolling cash bonus of $2,000 per race to any team that qualifies on the pole and wins the race. In the event the bonus is not awarded at one race, the $2,000 award rolls over to the next event, with the maximum award totaling $50,000. As in the past, the Craftsman “WIN FROM THE POLE” bonus is awarded to the team, the mechanics and pit crew members who turn the wrenches and work long hours in the garage and at the track to give the drivers the fastest truck on the track. The Craftsman “WIN FROM THE POLE” bonus has been awarded 23 times since its inception in 2000. Last season, three teams were awarded the bonus, the Ultra Motorsports team for the No. 2 ASE/CarQuest Dodge win at New Hampshire International Speedway, the Orleans Racing team for the No. 62 Orleans Racing Dodge win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Bobby Hamilton Racing team for the No. 4 Square D Dodge win at Homestead-Miami Speedway.(CTS PR)(2-11-2004)
