Sterling Marlin passed Bill Elliott at the beginning of the final lap and took the checkered flag to officially christen the start of the 41st year of racing at the Driven To Rock II exhibition race Saturday night at Mobile International Speedway. Marlin and Elliott were joined by fellow NASCAR Nextel Cup drivers Greg Biffle and Kerry Earnhardt for the exhibition. The four drivers spent 45 minutes signing autographs and taking pictures with local sponsors of the event. Then they spent 90 minutes doing the same for local race fans.(Alabama Live)(3-14-2004)
