Martin Truex Jr. will likely make his debut appearance in the Nextel Cup Series Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway in September, said his crew chief Kevin Manion. ÃÂÃÂPossibly (New Hampshire) might be our first Cup race,ÃÂÃÂ said Manion, a native of Boylston who has been working at Dale Earnhardt Inc. since 1997 and has been the Chance 2 Motorsports, a team originally started at DEI by the late seven-time champion in 1997, crew chief since 2002. Even though Truex Jr. wonÃÂÃÂt test at NHIS for the Busch Series event in July, Manion noted if DEI decides to field an additional car for the September race, testing will be mandatory. ÃÂÃÂWeÃÂÃÂll test up there for sure in a Cup car because itÃÂÃÂs a total different series,ÃÂÃÂ said Manion.(Boston Herald)(5-7-2004)
