Qualifying rained out at MIS:

#46-Dennis Setzer will start from the pole position at Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway. Rain canceled qualifying Friday for the Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners 200. The starting field was set by a formula relying on the owner season point standings. That leaves Setzer, leading the series with 1,837 points, starting from the pole. Drivers were able to practice at the two-mile oval before Friday’s rain. Bobby Hamilton will start second and Carl Edwards will begin third in the 34-truck field. It’s the fourth time this season the NASCAR truck series starting field has been set by the rule book formula instead of an on-the-track qualifying session. Edwards had the fastest practice time Friday at 179.136 mph. Mike Skinner was second at 179.1, and Setzer third at 178.98.(ThatsRacin.com)
