#14 Team to visit Norfolk Area Shipyards:

NASCAR Busch Series driver Casey Atwood and his crew from the #14 FitzBradshaw Racing team will utilize their off-weekend to visit sailors and tour the Naval Station in Norfolk, Va. September 15-17. The Navy uses its sponsorship to promote its recruiting program, “Accelerate your life,” and to reward sailors for their service with opportunities to meet the driver, crew and owners. Wednesday’s tour stop will include a visit on the USS Donald Cook, a destroyer involved in the first Tomahawk strike against Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as the USS Scranton, a submarine. Thursday the team will visit Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek and will embark on a harbor ride. The group will return to NS Norfolk and tour the USS Truman, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. Later in the afternoon, Atwood will sign autographs for a large number of sailors at the Navy Exchange outside the Norfolk Naval Station main gate.
