Timberland PRO announced a strategic partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR), which fields the #2 Chevy. Throughout the 2005 racing season, Timberland PRO will promote its line of work boots, work wear and accessories for working professionals via associate sponsorship of the #2 NASCAR Busch Series entry, owned and operated by Richard Childress Racing and driven by Clint Bowyer. The primary sponsor of the #2 car is AC Delco. In addition to generating valuable exposure on the race car, driver and pit crew uniforms, this partnership with RCR and AC Delco presents a host of promotional opportunities to help build awareness and drive preference for Timberland PRO among target consumers. Also, it will strengthen relationships with existing and potential retail partners.
Key elements of the Timberland PRO / RCR partnership include:
Timberland PRO logo will appear on the lower rear quarter panels of the # 2 car, as well as the driver and pit crew uniforms and helmets
All pit crew and garage members of the #2 and #21 cars will be outfitted with Timberland PRO work boots and work wear
One special Timberland PRO series paint scheme during the calendar year, which will be run at the Texas Motor Speedway in November.(RCR PR)(2-19-2005)
