Eric Jones and Red Cactus Racing announce 2005 plans:

Red Cactus Racing enters its first 2005 NASCAR Busch Series event at this weekend’s Stater Bros. 300 in Fontana, California. The #73 Chevrolet driven by Eric Jones debuts a brand new primary paint scheme for its sponsor, Red Cactus Salsa. The team has also donated an associate sponsorship position to the BHARE Foundation (Brenen Hornstein Autism Research & Education). BHARE is dedicated to raising awareness and funds necessary to research and effectively combat and cure Autism. “It’s been a lot of hard work building this team from the ground up,” said Eric Jones, Driver of the #73 Red Cactus Salsa Chevrolet. “Red Cactus Salsa and all of our sponsors have been tremendous. I just can’t wait to hit the track in California.” This season, NASCAR Craftsman Truck veteran crew chief, Danny Gill, takes over the crew chief position for the #73 Red Cactus Chevrolet. Last year, Gill was the crew chief for Dennis Setzer’s Craftsman Truck Series team, which finished second in the series points race. “Danny Gill has had a lot of success at Fontana and brings a great deal of experience to our team,” added Jones. “It gives me a lot of confidence to know he is on our pit box.” Red Cactus Racing is a growing force in the NASCAR Busch Series. Entering its second year of competition, Red Cactus is scheduled to compete in 19 NBS events in 2005, as well as two NEXTEL Cup events. Red Cactus Salsa is the primary sponsor of Red Cactus Racing. The top priority of BHARE is to fund research that will lead to a cure for Autism while educating parents of Autistic children to make informed decisions regarding the future treatment of their children.
