hearing that Rusty Wallace will replace Michale Waltrip on Speed Channel’s Trackside show, starting sometime this summer. No reason mentioned. The show airs on Friday’s at various times, sometime live and sometimes same day coverage and is hosted by Steve Byrnes with Darrell Waltrip, Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond adding commentaty and funny stuff to the mix. Guest each week include drivers from the different NASCAR Series and other NASCAR personalities.(5-19-2005)
UPDATE: Waltrip said on this weeks Inside Nextel Cup show, Speed Channel [Monday’s 8:00pm/et] that it was his choice to leave and that he was too busy with driving the #15 Cup car and #99 Busch Series car.(5-27-2005)
