#5-Mike Skinner won the pole for the Chex 400 at Texas Motor Speedway with a new track record of 182.902mph. Skinner won the pole for this event on 2004, led both practices. Rounding out the top five are: #14-Rick Crawford, #75-David Starr, #23-Johnny Benson, #22-Bill Lester. Points leader #1-Ted Musgrave will start 26th. No one missed the race.
