Edwards wins at Pocono:

#99-Carl Edwards won the Pocono 500 at Pocono Raceway for his 2nd win of 2005, 2nd career win in his 27th race and gave owner Jack Roush his first ever win as a car owner at Pocono [Roush has now won at all the track Nextel Cup run at but Chicagoland, Kansas and Indy]. The race ended under caution after an wreck by #18-Labonte [no word on what caused it, no replays on the wreck], after the green-white-checker restart on lap 199. Rounding out the top five were #25-Brian Vickers, #01-Joe Nemechek, #5-Kyle Busch and #15-Michael Waltrip. Points leader, #48-Jimmie Johnson finished 6th and increased his points lead to 123 over #16-Greg Biffle, who finished 30th after having some brake trouble. Edwards started 29th, winning a race from worst starting position ever at Pocono, Terry Labonte had held that record, winning from 27th back in 1995. #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. kept cutting down left front tires, the 2nd one did a lot of damage to the front left end of the car [even a fire], Dale Jr. finished 33rd, 6 laps down and is now 500 points behind in the Chase.
