Derrike Cope will be driving the #79 Chevy in Michigan. He said, “I will be going to the Michigan speedway to attempt the Nextel Cup race for Conely Motorsports. The car is a Chevrolet. They are a great group of people and I look forward to working with John and his team.”(Derrike Cope site) and the team had a pretty good day of testing June 7th at MIS. Derrike Cope tested and is scheduled to drive at MIS. Cope helped the team to fine tune the suspension and put in some pretty fair times until shortly after the lunch break when the car suffered valve problems ending with having to pull the engine.
