Parrott Wins Busch Series Wypall Wipers Crew Chief of the Race Award at NHIS:

Starting the New England in 21st place, the future looked bleak for Brad Parrott and his #60 crew. However, a combination of savvy pit strategy and near-flawless driving from Carl Edwards brought the Charter team a runner-up finish at the Magic Mile. For coaching Edwards from the back of the pack to the front, Parrott won the Wypall Wipers Crew Chief of the Race award. “The key here (New Hampshire International Speedway) is track position,” said Parrott. “We knew that it was going to take a solid pit strategy to move us up from 21st place. We had to stay on the track until we could make it on gas the rest of the way, so we came in around lap 87. That put us up front at the end. I want to thank Wypall Wipers and Charter Communications for allowing me to do what I love best and that’s calling races.”
Parrott won Wypall Wipers Crew Chief of the Race honors after Wypall Wipers spokesman Tony Eury Sr. voted for Parrott as the crew chief who made the biggest difference to his team. “As tough as it is to make up track position here (New Hampshire International Speedway), it takes a good crew chief to get his driver up front when you start in the back. Parrott’s strategy got Carl (Edwards) all the way into the top-five and gave him a shot at the win. He made good calls on when to pit and everything fell into place from there.”
