It appears MB-2 Motorsports [currently the #10 Chevy with driver Scott Riggs, along with #01-Joe Nemechek and #36-Boris Said] is close to announcing a new sponsor to replace Valvoline which is leaving for Evernham Motorsports at the end of the season [and taking the #10 with it, this team is un-numbered for 2006]. Driver Scott Riggs says I know that MB-2 is a lot closer to signing a contract with a sponsor and announcing that within the next week or two, so I know theyve gotten closer and moved forward. When asked if he would stay with the team is a full-time primary sponsor is signed, Riggs couldnt say for sure. Well, the chances are definitely a lot higher me staying with a sponsor than without.(PRN’s Garage Pass Radio Show)(7-14-2005)
UPDATE: hearing the new team number will be either #35 or #02 and possible sponsors: Allstate, Big Lots or/and State Farm.(7-28-2005)
