Newman wins 3rd in a row:

#39-Ryan Newman won the rain soaked Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway after enduring two red flags for rain and a late caution on lap 246 when #18-Yeley spun, resulting in a green-white-checker, but Newman held off #66-Greg Biffle for the win, his third straight win [also at Watkins Glen and Michigan] and 4th career Busch Series win. Biffle finished 2nd, followed by #21-Kevin Harvick, #2-Clint Bowyer and #1-Johnny Sauter. Points leader #8-Martin Truex Jr. finished 6th and only lost 10 points off his lead. #41-Reed Sorenson soldiered home 11th after a tough day with the tire doctoring controvery [see below]. Newman was the first driver since Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 1999 to win three in a row, the series record is four by Sam Ard in 1983. Newman lead 114 of the 252 laps, there were 5 lead changes among 5 drivers and 12 cuations for 100 laps.
