#12-Ryan Newman won the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway with a exciting pass with 2 laps to go for his 1st win of 2005 and 12th of his career. Newman’s win makes him the 13th different driver to win a race in 2005. It was Newman’s first win in 34 races, since Dover in Sept last year. #20-Tony Stewart led 173 of 300 laps, including lap 298, before he and Newman dueled for the lead with Newman getting the win. #17-Matt Kenseth finished 3rd, followed by #16-Greg Biffle and #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. Stewart increases his points lead to 20 over Biffle. #97-Kurt Busch wrecked early in the race but the team fixed the car and he finished 35th gaining an extra 24 points, but is now 10th in The Chase and 142 behind Stewart. #7-Robby Gordon, while running upfront, got together with #15-Michael Waltrip, Gordon then tried to back into Waltrip missed, tossed his helmet at Waltrip and used a ‘bad word’ during a TNT interview, so look for penalties on Tuesday or so. #9-Kahne wrecked when #5-Busch came up the track and hit Kahne, Kahne then drove around the track and waited for Busch and Kahne made a hard right accross Busch’s nose, Busch was able to stop and get minimal damage. Many drivers were called to the NASCAR Trailer after the race.
