hearing that #16-Greg Biffle crashed again today, testing at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Biffle also crashed Tuesday, wrecking what he considered his best car and one that was going to be used in four of the nine remaining 2005 races. Also, heard #20-Tony Stewart did not test Wednesday [so far] after wrecking Tuesday.
MORE #16-Greg Biffles championship chances may have taken a severe blow after crashing in successive days during testing at Lowes Motor Speedway. Tuesday night a right front tire cut down on his National Guard Ford sending him crashing into the wall between turns one and two. The tire had run 35 laps. Wednesday afternoon Biffle got loose going in the same turn and backed into the wall. As for the first crash Biffle said Its unfortunate it was my best racecar I had in the fleet the fastest racecar Ive had ever. Data showed a 170 mile per hour impact. It was a pretty tough hit hardest hit Ive had in a long time. As for crash number two It was a brand new car but its not something we were depending on. Its tough to come here and lose two cars because someone is not using their brain. They made changes to the race track and who knows what determination was made was it suppose to be the same grinding as it was before? If that was what they were told then theres no reason for alarm, but thats obviously not what happened. Maybe itll be okay whenever all the cars are here running well have to wait and see. Biffles shoulders, left arm, and neck are all sore. The car that wrecked Tuesday was virtually destroyed and was slated for Charlotte, Kansas, Texas and Homestead.
