#16-Greg Biffle told Claire B. Lang of XM Satellite NASCAR Radio on Friday that it’s clear to him that the HANS device saved his life after a very hard crash at Lowe’s Motor Speedway testing this week. In fact, he’s still hurting this weekend at Dover. “A good possiblity I wouldn’t be alive,” he said when she asked him what would have happened had he not had the HANS device on at LMS testing this week. “We were 33 laps into a run on a set of tires and the right front failed. It blew out and we went straight into the fence….I hit over 170mph. I mean I’m screwed up,” he said. “My shoulders hurt my neck hurt. Then, (I) turned around and did it the next night, backwards. That’s as hard as you hit. I mean I went down in the corner was three quarters in the way across the corner flat on the throttle and we’re running 28.80’s probably going 200 miles an hour. The thing hit the fence just so squared off I mean it was like nearly probably 60 degree impact angle in the fence.
