Hendrick was nervous:

Car owner Rick Hendrick watched nervously from his home the final laps of the race at Dover recovering from a touch of the flu; however that didn’t stop him from getting word to his rookie driver #5-Kyle Busch prior to racing teammate #48-Jimmie Johnson for the win. “I called Doug Duchardt (V.P. of Development) and I said give Alan Gustafson (Busch’s crew chief) a message tell him to tell Kyle not to do anything stupid (laughs) Then when the flag dropped on the green, white, checkered I said evidently he didn’t get the message. So, Monday morning I said, you didn’t get my message? Kyle said I got it .I wasn’t on him I didn’t touch him! I said, well it was too close for me. But it was good race and a good result.”(PRN’s Garage Pass Radio Show)(9-28-2005)
