Erik Darnell was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the June 17 Con-way Freight 200 at Michigan International Speedway. Darnell finished 12th and took top rookie honors for the fifth time this season. Marcos Ambrose grabbed the second-place starting position at Michigan, his best qualifying effort in seven career Truck Series starts. His previous best was a third-place effort at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this past May. Bobby East qualified third at Michigan, his best effort in nine career Truck Series starts. East grabbed his second top-five start of the 2006 season. He started fifth at Atlanta Motor Speedway this past March. Darnell leads the Raybestos Rookie standings by 23 points (95-72) over Aric Almirola entering the June 23 Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 at The Milwaukee Mile. Darnell is 14th in the Truck Series championship standings, best of any Raybestos Rookie. He trails 10th-place Mike Bliss by 155 points and leads 15th-place Bobby Hamilton Jr. by nine. Todd Kluever was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2005 Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200. Kluever claimed a ninth-place finish and was the only first-year driver to finish inside the top-10.
