Kurt Busch sped around Bristol Motor Speedway in 15.362 seconds (124.906 mph) to grab his 4th top-spot of the season and 7th of his NEXTEL Cup career. He’s now in a three-way tie with Jeff Burton and Kasey Kahne for most Bud Poles this year. Burton will start alongside and they’ll pace ’em to the green tomorrow night for the Sharpie 500, a race that even the most jaded of NASCAR fans look forward to.

Welcome Back Carl Long (30th). This is his first start since he qualified 20th and finished 32nd at Atlanta last October.
