Ramblings – Kansas Qualifying Notes:

#9-Kasey Kahne takes his fifth Bud Pole of the season today at Kansas Speedway and for the third race in a row we’ve got a Chaser on the pole. Kasey’s time of 30.273 (178.377 mph) was good enough for his 11th career top-spot and he’ll lead ’em to the green for Sunday’s Banquet 400 with team-mate Scott Riggs alongside for an all-Evernham front row. Kasey is now tied with Kurt Busch for most poles this season.
Jimmie Johnson (3rd) has his best starting spot since he lined up 3rd at Lowe’s in May.
J. J. Yeley (5th) has his best starting spot since he timed in 4th at Lowe’s in May.
Todd Kluever (22nd) has his career-best starting spot this weekend. His previous best was 3th at Chicagoland in July.
STREAKIN….Kurt Busch has 5 Top-10 starts in the last 6 races.
The “Chasers” may be talking about this weekend, but you know none of them will feel comfortable till we get next weekend out of the way. With Talladega lurking in the distance, so much for “playing ’em one at a time”.(Stock Car Fans)(9-29-2006)
