NAPA to sponsor Reutimann and the #17 at Talladega:

David Reutimann will carry a familiar shield on the hood of his #17 Toyota at Talladega Superspeedway. NAPA AUTO PARTS will be displayed on Reutimanns truck as his Darrell Waltrip Motorsports team continues their quest for the 2006 Craftsman Truck Series championship in the John Deere 250 on October 7th. NAPA AUTO PARTS has a rich history in NASCAR and Im thrilled to represent them at Talladega Superspeedway, Reutimann said. Its a one race deal and our truck will have a totally different look for that race. The truck is going to look really good. NAPA has had success with Michael (Waltrip). Theyve won two Daytona 500s with him. Theyve also had success as a sponsor in the Busch Series as well as the Craftsman Truck Series. NAPA first appeared as a primary team sponsor in 1996 in the Truck Series with Dale Earnhardt Inc. and driver Ron Hornaday Jr. NAPA won the championship in 1996 and 1998 with Hornaday Jr. NAPA Racing has visited victory lane in all three major NASCAR Series, Craftsman Truck, Busch, and Nextel Cup, amassing 30 wins, two Daytona 500 victories, and two Craftsman Truck Series Championships. NAPAs roots in racing were formed in the NASCAR Truck Series and we are very excited to continue that tradition with David Reutimann and his #17 Toyota Tundra, said Bob Susor, President of NAPA We are also pleased to announce a two-race sponsorship with Bill Davis Racing on Johnny Bensons #23 Tundra at Martinsville, Va. and Atlanta, Ga.(NAPA Auto Parts/DWM PR)(10-2-2006)
