Caisse Back for Harvick at Memphis? or is it Mark Day? UPDATE 2:

During qualifying, the TV broadcasters said that if Harvick liked what he saw of Caisse at Dover he would run him at Memphis too. However, according to Speedway Media’s Racing News, Mark Day says “he has been contacted by Kevin Harvicks Busch race team about driving Harvicks #33 Busch racecar in Memphis.”(9-23-2006)
UPDATE: Mark Day jokes that at age 45 he has stopped holding his breath, waiting for the elusive “career break.” But at the same time the veteran Clarksville racer admits he is “getting pretty excited” about his prospects of running the Oct. 28 Busch Series race in Memphis in a car fielded by Kevin Harvick. Also, as the champion of the Music City Motorplex’s Late Model division, Day earned a shot at a Craftsman Truck Series ride next season, again with Harvick’s team. Both opportunities came about because of Nashville-based Dollar General, which has become heavily involved in NASCAR, both on the local and Busch Series levels. “I’m impressed with this deal. Dollar General is serious about its involvement, and the Harvick people have been great. I’m supposed to fly over to their shop next Wednesday and finalize the deal.”(Tennesseean)(9-27-2006)
UPDATE 2: Dollar General stores Operation Big Chance at Nashvilles Music City Motorplex promised this season that one lucky driver would have the chance to race their way to a dream come true with the help of Dollar General and Kevin Harvick Inc.
