Mt. Juliet’s Bobby Hamilton Jr. said his father may reconsider plans to run the season’s final Truck Series race at Homestead, Fla. The senior Hamilton turned the driving over to his son after being diagnosed with cancer in his head and neck this spring. Bobby Jr. said his father continues to recover, “but he may want to wait and be 100 percent for Daytona,” referring to the 2007 season opener. Bobby Jr. will return to a full-time Busch Series ride next year.(Tennessean)(10-7-2006)
