Clint Bowyer captured his first-ever Bud Pole today at Darlington Raceway for tomorrow night’s Dodge Avenger 500 with a time of 29.806 sec (184.987 mph), and he becomes the 6th qualifier for next February’s Budweiser Shootout. Clint’s previous best starting spot was the outside pole at The Brickyard last August. He’ll be joined on the front row by Greg Biffle (2nd)….his best starting spot since he had the pole at Richmond last May. David Reutimann (14th) is in a rut…..this is the third race in a row where he’s starting in that spot. Welcome Back Kevin Lepage (43rd). He makes his first race of the season and first since Atlanta last October when he started 42nd and finished 43rd. STREAKIN….Jeff Gordon has 8 Top-10 starts in a row.
