The two guys closest to the bubble didn’t show any signs of feeling the pressure as Kurt Busch and Martin Truex finished 1-2 at MIS. Busch gained 63 huge points on Dale Jr and 75 points on teammate Ryan Newman. Busch now has the luxury of a bad race and can still maintain his lead, although he certainly doesn’t want to squander the 163-point advantage he carries to Bristol. No sophomore jinx for Denny Hamlin as he easily clinched his second straight Chase at Michigan with a fifth.
