This weekend at California, three teams that were locked into the top 30 from last year (#16-RoushFenway, #18-Joe Gibbs Racing, and #77-Kevin Harvick, Inc.) did not enter the race and, therefore, give up their top 30 locked-in status. The #0-team was the only team that ran all the races last year, but not locked into the starting field. The #0 team of JD Motorsports now moves into a locked in position based on last years points beginning at California and continuing through the Bristol Spring race. As a result, the Nationwide Series will have only 28 guaranteed starting positions for these races.(2-22-2008)
UPDATE: The #14 team of Carl Hass withdrew from the California race. The number of locked in cars are now down to 27.(2-22-2008)
