Coming out of nowhere, the NOS Energy Drink #30 car hurtled to a top-20 finish at 2007’s fall Dover Nationwide Series race. With that auspicious start boosting it forward, the NOS Energy Drink NASCAR program took off and raced forward into 2008 with a plan to be the leading energy drink in NASCAR. Now, with less than a third of the season remaining, the NOS NASCAR team revisits the track that began the journey last September. With a double dose of racing scheduled for the #30 and #50 cars, team driver Stanton Barrett knows that this weekend will be action packed. “I love Dover. It’s one of my favorite tracks, very fast and a good place to race” said Barrett. “Last season, we had a great first race for NOS at Dover – I’m looking forward to seeing everyone from NOS and FUZE out there supporting the team this weekend, just like last year.” Barrett has qualified very well at the Dover track over the course of his career, with two of his nine starts there in the NASCAR Nationwide Series coming from within the top-10. He’ll need to translate that success over to the Sprint Cup Series on Sunday, as the #50 NOS Energy Drink Chevy will be qualifying with the group of go-or-go-homers near the end of the order.(PR)(9-18-2008)
