Todd Bodine to honor “The Night Train” Olympic victory in Atlanta: UPDATE Image added:

Truck Series driver and 2006 champion Todd Bodine can’t wait for the race weekend to begin at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Bodine, of Chemung, NY, will race against his brother Geoff Bodine for the first time in nearly six years. And, the two brothers will be grinning from ear-to-ear as Todd Bodine steers his #30 The Night Train Tundra around the Hampton, Ga., mile and a half race track paying tribute to the gold medal success of the US Bobsled team in the 2010 Winter Olympics. “The Night Train” is the name of the bobsled the US team raced to win the gold medal in the Winter Olympics 2010. In addition to the gold medal won by the US Bobsled team, it’s impossible to mention Todd Bodine and Atlanta Motor Speedway and not think of victory lane. Bodine is tied for the most Truck Series top-fives and most top-tens at the track. He’s finished all but three laps in nine NCWTS races and he’s led laps in 11 races spanning each of NASCAR’s three premier divisions including 5 truck races.(Germain Racing PR)(3-2-2010)
UPDATE: With Bodine’s Germain Racing team facing a week with no sponsorship and the prospects of running an all-white truck in the E-Z-Go 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Johnson’s company, The Decal Source (TDS), stepped up to the plate and, with help from Bodine, designed a tribute of sorts to Team Holcomb and their “Night Train” four-man bobsled, who won the USA’s first four-man bobsled gold medal since 1948 at the Vancouver Olympics. Johnson and the TDS staff donated the design time and decals for the truck, their way of helping Germain Racing and Todd Bodine get the project from a simple idea to the final product stage. Schematic of the #30 “The Night Train” Toyota being driven by Todd Bodine to honor the Olympic U.S. Bobsled team is posted on the #30 Paint Schemes Page.(3-3-2010)
