Davis driving for R3 at Dover:

Marc Davis is preparing to get back in the Nationwide seat – his first NASCAR race since the emotional loss of his father and team owner, Harry, who was a father figure to many and a major activist for diversity in the sport. Davis will make his return to racing with R3 Motorsports in the #23 WHUR 96.3FM Chevy at Dover on Saturday, September 25th, 2010. Earlier this year, Davis finished third in the inaugural Freestate 500 in South Africa with the American Speed Association in January, which was dedicated to his father who had passed away just weeks earlier. He also took part in the Denny Hamlin Foundation race at Southside (Va.) Speedway racing alongside his former Joe Gibbs Racing Nationwide teammates. After the death of his father, Marc took over the family-owned operation becoming the youngest team owner in NASCAR changing the name to Marc Davis Motorsports.(Marc Davis PR), see an image of the car on the #23 Nationwide team paint scheme page.(9-14-2010)
