#1-Jamie McMurray: Crew Chief Kevin ‘Bono’Â Manion and the #1 McDonalds team will bring chassis #1008 to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend. This chassis was last used at the first 2010 New Hampshire event in June where McMurray finished 18th. The chassis was also used in April at Phoenix where McMurray battled handling issues after an on track altercation forced a 24th-place finish.
#2-Kurt Busch and his Steve Addington-led ‘Blue Deuce’Â team will be debuting their brand new ‘PRS-737’Â Dodge Charger at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend. ‘Its one of our latest model Miller Lite Dodge Chargers and we cant wait to get after it there at Loudon this weekend,’Â offered crew chief Addington. ‘We tested at Milwaukee a couple of weeks back and we think we can utilize some of the things we learned there this weekend. Were thrilled to be in the Chase and now the big challenge begins this weekend at Loudon.’Â
#5-Mark Martin: crew chief Alan Gustafson has chosen Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 5-588 in Sunday’s race at New Hampshire. Martin finished 21st in this chassis at this track in June. He posted a fourth-place finish in No. 5-588 at Phoenix in April.
#6-David Ragan: Primary: RK-613 Last ran Pocono ‘Â finished 14th Backup: RK-633 Last ran Michigan fall ‘Â09 ‘Â finished 30th. The #6 UPS Ford will feature a new TV panel this weekend in support of UPSs recently launched ‘We Love Logistics‘Â campaign. The Twin Mountain center (SLIC ‘Â 0350) in the Northeast District has been selected as the UPS Maximum Center for this weekends race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
#9-Kasey Kahne: The Budweiser Ford team will utilize Chassis No. 637 this weekend. Its the same car they ran in June at NHMS when Kahne led more than a third of the race.
#11-Denny Hamlin: and the FedEx Racing team will unload Chassis JGR 282, a new car from the JGR stable, this weekend in New Hampshire. JGR #267 will serve in backup duty. The #11 FedEx Small Business Camry will carry the letters BOS on the B-posts this weekend at New Hampshire in recognition of FedEx Express Boston markets excellence in performance and customer service.
#12-Brad Keselowski: The #12 Penske Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-708 during Sundays Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Keselowski last drove this chassis to a 20th-place finish in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte in May.
#16-Greg Biffle: crew chief Greg Erwin on New Hampshire: ‘Were taking a brand new car to the track this weekend. We obviously missed the mark in Richmond so we are looking forward to getting a fresh start in the Chase with a new car.
#17-Matt Kenseth: Primary: RK-704 (brand new chassis)
#18-Kyle Busch: Chassis No. 283 is a brand new race car that will turn its first competitive laps in Sundays Sylvania 300.
#19-Elliott Sadler: The #19 RPM team has prepared chassis No. 576 for this weekend’s event. This is the first time this season the Air Force Racing team will utilize this particular chassis.
#24-Jeff Gordon: Crew chief Steve Letarte has chosen Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 24-616 for Sunday’s race at New Hampshire. This is a new chassis that has not been raced, but the #24 team tested it at The Milwaukee Mile earlier this month.
#29-Kevin Harvick: Kevin Harvick will pilot Chassis No. 322 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This Shell-Pennzoil Chevrolet is a completely brand new car which will see its first laps on the track during Friday’s practice session.
#31-Jeff Burton: will race Chassis No. 319 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This is a brand new #31 racer that will be put through its first paces of competition in this weekend’s Sylvania 300.
#33-Clint Bowyer: will pilot Chassis No. 320 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This is a brand new Chevrolet Impala that will be put through its first paces this weekend.
#42-Juan Pablo Montoya: Brian Pattie and the #42 Energizer team are bringing chassis #907 to New Hampshire this weekend. The team last used this chassis at the first 2010 New Hampshire event in June where Montoya captured the pole position and ran in the top-10 for most of the afternoon before an on-track incident forced a 34th-place finish. This chassis was also used twice during the 2009 season at New Hampshire in September and Martinsville in October where Montoya finished third in both events.
#43-A.J. Allmendinger: The #43 RPM team led by crew chief Mike Shiplett has prepared chassis No. 267 for this weekend’s event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
#48-Jimmie Johnson: Chassis No. 540 will be the primary for Sunday’s event. Johnson last piloted chassis No. 540 to a win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in June. Back up chassis No. 520 has collected four wins in five starts ‘Â the most recent coming at Martinsville Speedway in March 2009.
#88-Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Crew chief Lance McGrew and the #88 engineers will unload Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 88-589. Earnhardt last raced this chassis to an eighth-place finish at New Hampshire in June.
#98-Paul Menard: Crew chief Slugger Labbe and the #98 RPM crew have prepared chassis No. 573 for this weekend’s event. This is the same car the team ran at the season’s first event at Richmond. Sylvania will make its second appearance on the hood of the #98 Richard Petty Motorsports car this weekend.
#99-Carl Edwards: The #99 Aflac team will be bringing RK-647 this weekend to New Hampshire. Edwards raced this Ford Fusion at Loudon in June where he finished 25th and Phoenix in April where he finished seventh.(from team PR’s/sites if reported)(9-16-2010)
