Shane Wilson will remain #33-Clint Bowyer’s crew chief “for as long as he can,” a Richard Childress Racing official said Friday at Dover. Wilson was suspended for six weeks and fined $150,000, and Bowyer was fined 150 points after NASCAR ruled the car that won last Sunday’s Chase opener at New Hampshire did not meet specifications. Team owner Richard Childress announced he plans to appeal the decision, which means Wilson can remain the crew chief until the appeal is heard.
