According to Justin Allgaier, driver of the Penske Racing #12 Nationwide entry, speculation that he has signed a contract with another team for 2011 is pure fantasy. “Unfortunately,” he says, “it just isn’t true.” Allgaier, 24, has been tied, most recently, to a deal with Turner Motorsports, which recently announced a buyout of Braun Racing. “Right now, I’m racing for Penske,” he says, “and whatever conversations I have about my future are just a fact-finding exercise at this point.” Looking for the best deal available, Allgaier is still focused on his ultimate goal. “The length of the agreement will depend on the opportunity for me to progress. My goal is to make it to Cup,” he says. “If there is a Nationwide team without a strong affiliation in the Cup series, the terms will probably be shorter. If there’s a Cup team that wants me right now, I’m ready to go for the long haul.”(Scene Daily)(9-25-2010)
