Hendrick Motorsports driver, Landon Cassill returned to Gresham Motorsports Park on Wednesday in a # 48, Jimmie Johnson Chevy. Cassill and Hendrick team worked to make adjustments and improvements to the car’s setup. Chase Elliott, driver of the #9 HendrickCars.com Chevy also tested. This is Elliott’s first season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and he will return to GMP for the Slack Auto Parts 150. Elliott’s father, Bill Elliott, was at GMP to give advice and help prepare Chase for the upcoming race. Cassill was also able to give Chase Elliott some tips and advice about the NASCAR K&N car after making a few laps in Elliott’s NASCAR K&N car himself. Elliott wasn’t about to let Cassill run his car without getting his chance to test Cassill’s car. After Cassill accomplished all that he had set out to accomplish at GMP, he gave Elliott the wheel of the # 48 Chevy.
